The family component of the GEAR UP-ST. LOUIS program will bring families and students together to support improved academic standing and college attendance.
Families with their students will be involved in the following activities: ACT/College skills program sessions, a local college tour, a career plan (using a web-based application and work with a mentor and counselor), Family Career Scholars dinner meeting to lay out and monitor the Family Progress Action Plan, Community Service Project, Scholarship solution workshops, National Service Youth Day.
